Before starting, let us have a quick overview of all the 4 questions that we
will be discussing and what they ask us to report:
Health Education: Invite a first aid trainer and make the arrangements of medicines, stretchers, and other materials for the First Aid in your school with the coordination of the School Management. Write briefly information you obtained according to the instructions of the first aider.
Obviously, you won't be able to conduct any program in your school and invite
a first aid trainer. There are several reasons for this. The first being you
will have very less time between the date when you have been assigned the task
and to the date of submission. The second being most of the schools won't
agree on this proposal of students to conduct such program randomly.
This question asks the students to conduct a program and get information
related to What is First Aid?, When to provide a First Aid?, What are the
conditions for giving First Aid?, What are the preventions of providing a
First Aid? What are some of the ways you can provide first aid to the victims
of common problems like road accident, snake bite, etc.
Population Education: Collect the Data Of Birth, Death, Migration and Total family members from ten households of your community for a specified year. Calculate CBR, GFR, CDR, NMR, and GMR of that place and present the report.
This question is from Population Education (PE) and wants to check the
mathematical capacity of the students and their understanding towards PE.
Again, collecting information may not be so effective provided that people may
not want to share such information with you for privacy concerns. Though they
would be sharing it with a government official, you don't value for them and
neither you would want to hamper their family life.
So, you will need to imagine a community of ten members by yourself. CBR
stands for Crude Birth Rate, GFR for Gross Fertility Rate, CDR for Crude Death
Rate, NMR for Net Migration Rate, and GMR for Gross Migration Rate. We will
discuss them later in the answers below.
Social: Each community and ethnic group has its own typical folk song and folk dance. Write any two folk songs with their fingers, and when occasions when the song is sung.
I guess each and everyone of you reading this are living in cities. And, there
may be very less people singing the typical folk songs because we have covered
the entire community. And, we never practice folk songs in daily life.
However, we have to do it so that our traditions and cultures don't get lost.
This is a mandatory question if you are reading Social Studies. You would
definitely want to check the secondary sources for solving this question.
Social: There may be a Red Cross Society or a SOS in your village. Meet the chief of the team and get an idea about their activities in Nepal. Prepare a report based on their information shared by the chief.
I would say that you definitely have to rely on official sources to solve this
question. And, choosing a Red Cross Society would be far better and easier to
solve. All of the national level organizations surely have their official
website pages and should have been regularly updated. If you are at home, you
can check them and prepare the report.
If you do not have the access to the internet, you can rely on Bulletins,
Pamphlets, Magazines, and News Papers which would be a little tiring.
Let us now discuss how to answer the above mentioned questions. We will just
provide a sample guide which you will need to elaborate further to complete
your project.
Question #1 Answer:
Imagine that the event happened in your school. Give an imaginary name to the
trainer. Mention the name of the organization that the trainer belongs to.
Mention when and how this program was organized in your school in a paragraph.
This paragraph can be around 7-8 sentences long.
Now, mention the following points and their description under LEARNINGS or
ACHIEVEMENTS. This has to be your Heading. Under the heading, write in brief
how you learnt: visually, practically, theoritically or any other medium. Now,
answer the following questions:
- What is First Aid?
- How do you differentiate First Aid with Hospital Treatment?
- When should you provide a First Aid?
- Do you need to be an expert to give First Aid? Or a beginner can also provide the first Aid?
- Who's should be given the first aid and when?
- Being a first aider, what are the precautions that you will need to follow?
- Mention some common problems and their first aid procedures.
Now, conclude your answer via a conclusion that will sum up all the
questions we have provided above. It would be better if you can generate
more questions from about 10-20. However, don't write them in questions and
answers pattern. Write a descriptive paragraph just like this one:
First Aid is the first and immediate care given to the causality before the
arrival of the doctor. It is different form the hospital treatment vastly as
it is provided to the patient on the spot and within few moments of the
accident. However, the hospital treatment is provided after few minutes - few
hours. .....
Question #2 Answer:
Start with a brief introduction to Population Education and Demography. Only
then come to your subject matter.
Describe a little about how you took the survey. And demonstrate a sample of
one of the family member.
You must include:
Time Duration: (2020-2021)
Name of the family:
Total Family Members:
New Born Babies:
Live Births:
Total Deaths:
Total Fertile Women (15-49 yrs):
Migration status: (In Migration/ Out Migration)
Number of Migrants:
Then, mention the total information you collected from the survey. Your report
should look like this:
Time Duration: (2020-2021)
Total families:
Total population:
Total Births:
Total live births:
Total Deaths:
Total Migrants:
Total In-migrants:
Total Out-migrants:
Once you've mentioned a these, you can simply apply the formulae to find out
the answers. Remember that you must show your calculations in a fair way.
Conclude your project by analysing the condition of health, awareness, number
of members per houses, and more.
Question #3 Answer:
As mentioned earlier, this question wants the new generation to remind their
traditional folk music. It also wants them to realise its importance and
value.
You will have to write this answers in a formatted way including a major
heading, few headings, and multiple sub-headings. Here is how you do it:
Major Heading: Folk Songs in My Community
Heading: Introduction (Introduce folks songs)
Heading: Importance (Write in brief about folk songs)
Heading: Folk Music Name - I
Sub-heading: Artist (Singer)
Sub-heading: Lyrics
Sub-heading: Occasions when it is sung
Heading: Folk Music Name - II
Sub-heading: Artist (Singer)
Sub-heading: Lyrics
Sub-heading: Occasions when it is sung
Heading: Conclusion
Well, that is it. In conclusion you will have to conclude all your point with
your views on how folk songs can be preserved and promoted in your community.
While you could copy the songs mentioned in your text books as well. Here are
some other folks songs prevailing in various communities of Nepal:
Resham Firiri
Ghintang Ghintang Nadal Bajyo
Chautari Ma Bar Pipal
Get more information about these songs
here.
Question #4 Answer:
You have to start by introducing the importance of NGOs and INGOs in various
countries, their importance and expectations.
Now, introduce NEPAL RED CROSS SOCIETY and mention its present President name.
Here are the information that you would want to include in your report:
Name: Nepal Red Cross Society
Established: 1963 AD
Address: Red Cross Marg, Kalimati
Acting Chairperson (18 November, 2020): Ms. Sharmila Karki
Then, you can write about their missions and objectives. But, that is not our
matter of concern here.
Now, visit these links and understand the works done by NRCS in the past. Here
is a quick overview of what they do and the tasks they have done.
Blood Transfusion Service
Community Development
Disaster Management
Earthquake Response Operation
Finance and Resource Management
Gender Equality
Visit their official website vis this
link
and learn more about the works done by NRCS to date.
Then conclude the project by comparing the expectations you mentioned earlier
during start and the works they have done in the past.
