Lowest Common Multiples is such a number which is exactly divisible by all of the numbers that are taken into consideration.
To find out the LCM, we observe the multiplication tables of each numbers that are considered.
In order to find the LCM of 4 and 8, we take,
Multiplication of 4 are 4,8,12,16,20,...
Multiplication of 8 are 8,16,24,32,40,....
The lowest common number in multiples of both 4 and 8 is 8 so, the LCM of 4 and 8 is 8.
Otherwise you can also find it using the HCF.
We know, HCF of 4 and 8 is 4.
LCM = 4×8/HCF
= 4×8/4
= 8
In other words, LCM × HCF = Number1 × Number2
Both HCF and LCM should be of the two numbers Number1 and Number2.
